The Bicycle Helmet Initiative Trust is committed to saving young people’s lives by promoting safe cycling and, in particular, the use of cycle helmets.

By advancing the use of helmets, cycle training, cycle lights and reflective clothing, the charity aims to ensure young cyclists are well equipped to take part in this healthy and environmentally friendly form of transport.

Using what research is available, the charity is in no doubt that cycle helmets save lives and its aim is to support young cyclists to wear one.

The Trust does recognise that other organisations do not share the same view. Some of these bodies are quick to discredit the Trust but rather than become embroiled in any dispute and waste limited time and valuable resources, the charity continues to focus on the issue in hand – the protection of young cyclists.
