The Bicycle Helmet Initiative Trust is committed to saving young people’s lives by promoting safe cycling and, in particular, the use of cycle helmets

By advancing the use of helmets, cycle training, cycle lights and reflective clothing, the charity aims to ensure young cyclists are well equipped to take part in this healthy and environmentally friendly form of transport.

Using what research is available, the charity is in no doubt that cycle helmets save lives and its aim is to support young cyclists to wear one.

The Trust works closely with road safety officers, other NGOs, teachers, parents, police, Government Departments and health professionals. However, working directly with children and young people is at the forefront of our vision and helping to ensure as far as possible their safety and well-being remains our primary objective.
